As your local Ace Hardware store, Gavins Ace Hardware & Marine is a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry. Ace Hardware began as a small chain of stores in 1924 and it has grown to include more than 4,500 stores in 50 states and more than 70 countries.
As part of a cooperative, every Ace Hardware store is independently owned and operated. The Gavin family is proud to be a part of the Ace Hardware tradition and serve the local community.
Gavins Ace Hardware & Marine was founded in 1987 by Larry, Rita, and Ron Gavin with the acquisition of store #4838 on Cypress Lake Drive. The store was 6,200 sq. ft. with 5,000 sq. ft. dedicated to retail sales. In 1991, the Gavins purchased the 28,000 sq. ft, Gadddies True Value, and moved the business (now store #3443) to its present San Carlos Blvd location.
Today, we always try to remember our history while focusing on the future, as we endeavor to serve our customers. Our goal is to be the best hardware store for each customer that enters our doors.

Our Community Involvement
As a locally and family owned business, we depend on our community to support us. We feel it is important for us to return that support by supporting local causes and charities.
We support our community through service to Rotary International, the local Chamber of Commerce, and through sponsorship of other worthwhile causes such as the Children’s Miracle Network, Habitat for Humanity, high school sports programs, Little League, and the Roice Hurst Humane Society, just to name a few.
